4 simple ways to get free youtube traffic
Youtube is the second most used search engine in the entire world.
They also happen to be the most popular video sharing site in the
world by such a large margin that if you here someone talk about
"video marketing" chances are they are really talking about "Youtube
marketing".
The funny thing is that even though Google owns Youtube...
Youtube's search algorithm is pretty much based on outdated search
concepts that the major engines abandoned years ago because they are
things that can be easily measured.
And since they can be easily measured they can also be easily
influenced.
Which means it's much easier to rank high on Youtube and grab more
free traffic than you would think.
There are at least 13 or so "ranking" and/or "discoverability"
factors that Youtube currently looks at when deciding on whether or
not they should send your video just a little traffic, or send your
video a whole lot of free traffic.
But not all of the 13 factors are treated equally... some are way more
powerful than the others when it comes to ranking high and getting
more free traffic from Youtube.
So I thought I'd save you some time by just flat-out telling you
what the 4 most powerful Youtube SEO factors are.
Here are the 4 most important factors (in no particular order of
importance):
1. Keywords in your Title.
2. Keywords in your Description.
3. Keywords in your Tags.
4. Incoming Links, especially incoming links with your primary
keyword phrase in the anchor text.
Which means the majority of your Youtube SEO time should be spent on
doing your keyword research and finding high-quality incoming links
for your videos.
If you do nothing else but concentrate your efforts on those top 4
things the rest of the 13 "ranking" and/or "discoverability" factors
will just naturally fall into place (although you can, and should,
influence those as well).
